This training is organised for auditors of inspection bodies who want to perform ENplus® related audits of pellet production plants and pellet trader facilities. Participation in this training is considered adequate proof of qualification for persons intending to audit pellet plants (see requirements stated in the ENplus® Handbook).
The content of the training is provided by BEA Institut für Bioenergie, an organisation with extensive experience in auditing pellet plants and developing standards related to pellet quality. The main trainer will be Martin Englisch.
The training will include an introduction to the relevant standards, the requirements of ENplus®, practical training in determining physical parameters of pellets, and audits of two modern pellet production plants.
On Wednesday April 27th, participants will meet in Vienna at 09:00 (details will be provided to participants directly by the trainer closer to the date). There will be a transfer and a visit of a pellet plant, before proceeding to the hotel (outside Vienna), where lectures and practical training will take place.
On Thursday April 28th, further lectures will take place in the morning, followed by an audit of a pellet plant in the afternoon. At the end, the group will visit a Testing Laboratory for solid fuels back in Vienna. The training will end on Tuesday latest at 18:00.
The training costs 1.250 € (VAT excl). This fee includes training and documentation, accommodation for the 27th of April in the hotel, full board during both days and all transfer costs from Vienna to the training locations.
Participants must arrange and cover their travel costs to Vienna.
The training will be held entirely in English.
Prior to the training, the participants should familiarise themselves with the requirements of the scheme. The technical documentation is available here.
